Everyone is welcome; you don't have to be a member of GEO to come out and have a good time. We will have plates, utensils, and napkins as well as water and basic drinks; bring anything else you'll want to have. There are picnic tables available, but you might bring camp chairs if you have them so we have plenty of seats for everyone. And if you are able, please bring a donated item for the raffle prizes.
We hope anyone passing through our area after GeoWoodstock in order to find the Original Stash will plan to stop by for a visit. Our location for this event will not be far off your path.

Please come y'all over for a pleasant afternoon of various activities. We'll have food, games, enjoyable conversation. Here's some of what you can 'spect:
Bingo!: On the day of the Bonanza, you'll be able to find 10 special new caches in the Molalla area, placed by "Molalla Cachers". At each one, you'll find a stamp for your Bingo card -- how many you get is up to you. Get your cards at the Spurs Western Apparel (125 Main St), or at Molalla Bowl (starting at 6am). Food!: What's a bingo bonanza without a passle of good grub? We'll have hot dogs, sodas, and chips -- maybe some cool lemonade, too! Story-telling!: This one's up to you. Come with your best geocache story to tell. Will you make it into the final round? Foolin' around!: That's where you do some of our fun activities, like finding special treasures on the property. Prizes!: Of course with Bingo there's prizes! Prizes for bingo, prizes for games, prizes for storytellin', maybe even a prize for comin'!

Celebrate the end to a very long enjoyable weekend. Prizes will be awarded and fun will be had by all. Sunday July 18th, 2010 Lower Campus field behind the Geocaching booth
daVinci Days is a Corvallis festival with a tradition of Science, Art and Revelry. With thousands of visitors to the mid Valley, we have a chance to educate and transform mere muggles into geocachers! Hang out and talk geocaching all weekend (or a minimum of 4 hours) during the weekend for a free pass to the event. We do require that you be 1) able to speak geocaching and 2) be willing and able to help those who are not so geek chic (minimum of 4 hours). We will have fun teaching people geocaching all weekend, and have a competition for prizes! Come out during daVinci Days (paid admission or volunteer bracelet required) and enjoy music, art, and geocaching, and then see the prizes awarded after the competition on Sunday at 4:45 PM. Awards are at the end of the festival and are free and open to the public.

Here we go again!
This is our fourth time around for this event that started out as a mission for us Squach’s to find a boat we could borrow so we could get those pesky caches off the islands in the Willamette. Boomchuck was kind enough to loan us his canoe but in the mean time we had so many say they wanted to come along that we made an event out of it. Now three years and two canoes later we have done the three major parts of the Willamette that goes through our area so I thought it may be time to try a new river.
This year we have decided on the Santiam, we will put in at the south bound I-5 rest stop and float our way to the Willamette ending at Buena Vista. In the past we have met at a McBreakfast joint first for the meet and greet but no such luck here. The guy in the trailer makes a pretty mean cup of joe for a donation but that is about it for fine dining at this location. We will bring some doughnuts and refreshments for the meet and greet portion before the hearty river folk head out to the adventure. Breakfast is at 8AM and we will put in around 9:30. To log this event you will only have to attend the meet and greet. If you are coming along for the really fun part then you will need to be sure you have a canoe or kayak (inflatable’s and motor boats don’t work well for this) a life vest for each person in your party, a whistle for each person, lunch and don’t forget to get your Aquatic Invasive Species Prevention Permit. (new this year for Oregon). The fee is $7 and only 1 person per craft is required to have a permit and the permits are transferable.

For an added twist this time we may continue on after Buena Vista for some island camping if there is enough people interested. There is an un-named island known to the old Geocacher’s as Maryanne Island that should suit our camping needs just fine. If you would like to participate on the camp out please indicate this on your “will attend” log. You will need to provide you own meal and camping gear for this and you may want to plan on having someone drop you off and pick you up the next day as I wouldn’t recommend you leave you vehicle at the rest stop.
