Come enjoy boating on the Columbia. Although this is primarily a paddle, all watercraft are welcome.
We will meet at the posted coordinates for a Geo chat and breakfast at 9AM. The launch will be at 10AM from Chinook Landing Marine Park which has a $5/per day parking fee. There are 6 caches within a 7 mile trip. These are all to the east of I-205. If you desire to travel an additional 7 miles there are 2 caches west of I-205. If you do all the caches you will have most of the 5 terrain caches needed for the Fizzy. In addition to a watercraft, you will need to have a life vest and whistle for each person. New this year in Oregon is the need for an Aquatic Invasive Species Prevention Permit ($7, one per craft) if your canoe or kayak is over 10 feet long. Since this is on the Columbia, I think this only applies to Oregon residents.
